Free up Airbnb storage

Airbnb caches listing photos, map tiles, and Wishlist images. Reservations and Wishlists stay on your Airbnb account. Listing photo cache is the large local part.

See how much space Airbnb is using

iPhone

Open the iPhone Settings app.
Tap General > iPhone Storage.
Tap Airbnb.

Android

Open your phone Settings > Apps (or Apps and notifications).
Tap Airbnb.
Tap Storage or Storage and cache.

A long Wishlist still stores thumbnails on the phone.

Clear listing photo cache

Open Airbnb and tap Profile.
Look for Settings and a cache or storage row. Use it if it exists.
Otherwise use Android Clear cache.

Wishlists stay on the account. Photos download again when you open a listing.

Trip photos you saved

House manuals or check-in photos you saved to Files stay there. Delete those copies in Files if you no longer need them.

Clear Airbnb cache on Android

Open your phone Settings > Apps > Airbnb.
Tap Storage or Storage and cache.
Tap Clear cache.

Do not tap Clear storage / Clear data unless you mean to reset Airbnb on this phone. That signs you out. Trips stay on the account.

iPhone does not offer a separate Airbnb cache button. Use the in-app steps on this page, or offload the app in iPhone Storage if the system total stays high.

Reinstall the app if storage is still high

If you already cleaned media and Airbnb still looks huge, a fresh install can clear leftover cache and temp files that are hard to reach by hand.

Reservations and Wishlists stay on your Airbnb account. Sign in again after reinstall.
Delete the app from your phone.
Restart your phone.
Install Airbnb again from the App Store or Google Play.
Sign in and restore from backup if the app offers it.

This often frees a lot of space. You may need to download some media again after restore.
