Responsibilities

Dedupo saves storage space in your device by helping you clean up duplicate, large and unwanted photos. It helps you organize your photos and videos.

It's a client only app for on-device photo and video tools. Actions such as finding similar photos, cleaning up, compressing, building albums, and editing stay on your phone. Archive can upload files you select to Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, or your own FTP or FTPS server. Those uploads go to your account with that provider, not to Dedupo servers.

Before deletions, users are warned that it's an irrecoverable action. Once photos or videos are deleted, there's no way to bring them back (unless user's device or cloud provider provides something for recently deleted files). Dedupo itself doesn't back up any media. Since Dedupo warns its users about this, it's the users' responsibility to be sure that they want to delete those files (photos, videos etc.) forever.

Dedupo doesn't delete media without users' explicit delete action and it doesn't delete them in the background. Therefore, Dedupo cannot be held responsible for the media it helps users delete.

Service Agreements & Benefits

Dedupo is against subscription economy and it delivers its technology with one time payment. This makes Dedupo much cheaper compared to its rivals. We believe this is the best way to purchase services. Most subscription based technologies provide minimum to no value to their users with ongoing payments. With Dedupo, you pay once to buy the app and will get updates from further releases for free. As long as there are enough people downloading the app, we will continue to release updates for free. If you would like to support us other than the initial payment or fund a feature, you can always make a donation. If developing new features becomes not feasible at some point, we will release a new app with a new pricing without a subscription. This will be only fair as users will be buying a new set of features with a new fee.

Dedupo understands that photos and videos are users' most private assets. Dedupo does not upload your camera roll to Dedupo servers for Similar Photos, Clean Up, Bulk Compress, Albumizer, or Edit. When you use Archive, files you select are sent only to the Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, or FTP account you connect. Dedupo does not sell photo or video contents and does not run ads in the app. See the Privacy Policy for details on tokens, cloud access, and app health analytics.

Maintenance & User Support

Dedupo maintains its technology with best effort basis. It provides feedback channels for its users to communicate. It monitors the health of the app and its dependencies. While we will try to resolve any issue as soon as possible, we cannot guarantee a timeline. For security concerns, by being a client-only application, Dedupo minimizes, if not eliminates, any possible external vulnerabilities by design.

User feedbacks can be sent using the Feedback link in the menu. We appreciate any feedback sent by our users and every feedback is taken seriously and sincerely. We believe feedback from users can only improve the strength of our application.
