Free up AliExpress storage
AliExpress caches listing photos, review videos, and live streams. Orders and messages stay on your account. Product video cache is usually the large number.
See how much space AliExpress is using
iPhone
- Open the iPhone Settings app.
- Tap General > iPhone Storage.
- Tap AliExpress.
Android
- Open your phone Settings > Apps (or Apps and notifications).
- Tap AliExpress.
- Tap Storage or Storage and cache.
The number is mostly product photos, listing videos, and browse cache on this phone. Orders stay on your account.
Clear product photos and video cache
AliExpress keeps listing images and product videos so the feed scrolls smoothly. That cache is safe to drop. Saved items, orders, and your cart stay on the account.
- Open AliExpress and tap your profile or the person icon.
- Open Settings (or Account > Settings).
- Look for Clear cache, Storage, or Free up space.
- Confirm the clear if AliExpress shows a size.
If there is no in-app button, use Android Clear cache below. The next browse will download images again.
AliExpress Settings often includes Clear cache. Use that before you reinstall.
Live and review video
- Open AliExpress Settings.
- Tap Clear cache if listed.
- Turn off live autoplay if you see a data or video switch.
Clear AliExpress cache on Android
- Open your phone Settings > Apps > AliExpress.
- Tap Storage or Storage and cache.
- Tap Clear cache.
Do not tap Clear storage / Clear data unless you mean to reset AliExpress on this phone. That signs you out. Orders and chat history stay on the AliExpress account.
iPhone does not offer a separate AliExpress cache button. Use the in-app steps on this page, or offload the app in iPhone Storage if the system total stays high.
Reinstall the app if storage is still high
If you already cleaned media and AliExpress still looks huge, a fresh install can clear leftover cache and temp files that are hard to reach by hand.
- Orders, saved items, and your account stay with the store. You only need to sign in again after reinstall.
- Delete the app from your phone.
- Restart your phone.
- Install AliExpress again from the App Store or Google Play.
- Sign in and restore from backup if the app offers it.
This often frees a lot of space. You may need to download some media again after restore.
What to do next
After AliExpress is lighter, check your photo library for duplicates and similar shots. That is what Dedupo is for.
