Free up Among Us storage

Among Us stores maps, hats, and seasonal cosmetics on the phone. The game is small. Cache and extra map files are most of the leftover. Your friend code and purchased items stay on your InnerSloth account if you signed in.

See how much space Among Us is using

iPhone

Open the iPhone Settings app.
Tap General > iPhone Storage.
Tap Among Us.

Android

Open your phone Settings > Apps (or Apps and notifications).
Tap Among Us.
Tap Storage or Storage and cache.

There is no repair-resources screen. Cache is the local cleanup.

Clear map and cosmetic cache

Extra maps and hats you already own still leave files on the device. Android Clear cache is safe. Cosmetics stay on the account after you sign in.

Link the account

Open Among Us and tap the gear or account icon.
Sign in with InnerSloth, Apple, Google, or Xbox if you use cosmetics across devices.

Clear Among Us cache on Android

Open your phone Settings > Apps > Among Us.
Tap Storage or Storage and cache.
Tap Clear cache.

Do not tap Clear storage / Clear data unless you mean to reset Among Us on this phone. Unlinked guest data can disappear.

iPhone does not offer a separate Among Us cache button. Use the in-app steps on this page, or offload the app in iPhone Storage if the system total stays high.

Reinstall the app if storage is still high

If you already cleaned media and Among Us still looks huge, a fresh install can clear leftover cache and temp files that are hard to reach by hand.

Sign in to InnerSloth first if you use cosmetics or a friend code you care about. Guest data can stay only on this phone.
Delete the app from your phone.
Restart your phone.
Install Among Us again from the App Store or Google Play.
Sign in and restore from backup if the app offers it.

This often frees a lot of space. You may need to download some media again after restore.
