Free up Bigo Live storage

Bigo Live caches live video, gifts, and chat media so rooms open fast. Account, follows, and wallet stay on Bigo Live. The app includes Clean Cache in Settings.

See how much space Bigo Live is using

1. Open Bigo Live and tap Me.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Tap Clean Cache (some versions say Clear cache). The size shown is local cache.

iPhone

1. Open iPhone Settings > General > iPhone Storage > Bigo Live.

Android

1. Open your phone Settings > Apps > Bigo Live > Storage or Storage and cache.

There is no WhatsApp-style Free up Storage chat list.

Clean cache

1. Open Me > Settings > Clean Cache.
2. If Bigo Live lists types, choose All, or only LIVE / Chat cache.
3. Tap Clean / confirm.

This removes temporary stream and chat files. It does not delete your account or gifts.

Recordings and saved clips

If you recorded a live or saved a clip to Photos, Gallery, or Files, those copies are outside Bigo Live cache. Delete them there, including Recently Deleted / Trash.

Clear Bigo Live cache on Android

1. Open your phone Settings > Apps > Bigo Live.
2. Tap Storage or Storage and cache.
3. Tap Clear cache.

Prefer Clean Cache inside Bigo Live first. Do not tap Clear storage / Clear data unless you mean to reset the app. That signs you out.

iPhone does not offer a separate Bigo Live cache button in system Settings. Use Clean Cache inside the app instead.

Reinstall the app if storage is still high

If you already cleaned media and Bigo Live still looks huge, a fresh install can clear leftover cache and temp files that are hard to reach by hand.

1. Your account and gifts stay on Bigo Live. Chat and live cache is local.
2. Delete the app from your phone.
3. Restart your phone.
4. Install Bigo Live again from the App Store or Google Play.
5. Sign in and restore from backup if the app offers it.

This often frees a lot of space. You may need to download some media again after restore.
