Free up app storage

Free up Call of Duty Mobile storage

Call of Duty Mobile stores maps, weapon packs, HD textures, and replays. Resource and repair tools inside Settings are the cleanup. Your rank, COD Points, and loadouts stay on your Activision account.

See how much space Call of Duty Mobile is using

iPhone

  1. Open the iPhone Settings app.
  2. Tap General > iPhone Storage.
  3. Tap Call of Duty Mobile.

Android

  1. Open your phone Settings > Apps (or Apps and notifications).
  2. Tap Call of Duty Mobile.
  3. Tap Storage or Storage and cache.

Unused HD packs and old season files are the usual bloat.

Repair or clear cache in Call of Duty Mobile

  1. Open Call of Duty Mobile and tap the gear (Settings).
  2. Open Basics, Graphics, or the support row (labels vary).
  3. Tap Clear cache if you see it.
  4. Tap Repair only when maps or assets are broken. Repair re-downloads files.

Cache leftovers are safe to drop. Repair is a fix, not a storage tool.

Remove extra graphics and language packs

  1. Open Settings and look for Download, Resources, or HD options.
  2. Turn off extra high-resolution packs or languages you do not use.
  3. Delete replays you do not need from the replay list.

You can fetch a pack again on Wi-Fi. Multiplayer still works with the base files.

Clear Call of Duty Mobile cache on Android

  1. Open your phone Settings > Apps > Call of Duty Mobile.
  2. Tap Storage or Storage and cache.
  3. Tap Clear cache.

Do not tap Clear storage / Clear data unless you mean to reset Call of Duty Mobile on this phone. That signs you out. Loadouts stay on your Activision account.

iPhone does not offer a separate Call of Duty Mobile cache button. Use the in-app steps on this page, or offload the app in iPhone Storage if the system total stays high.

Reinstall the app if storage is still high

If you already cleaned media and Call of Duty Mobile still looks huge, a fresh install can clear leftover cache and temp files that are hard to reach by hand.

  1. Sign in to the account you use for this game first. Progress is usually saved in the cloud and comes back after you sign in. Cached maps and extra resources download again when you play.
  2. Delete the app from your phone.
  3. Restart your phone.
  4. Install Call of Duty Mobile again from the App Store or Google Play.
  5. Sign in and restore from backup if the app offers it.

This often frees a lot of space. You may need to download some media again after restore.

What to do next

After Call of Duty Mobile is lighter, check your photo library for duplicates and similar shots. That is what Dedupo is for.
