Free up app storage

Free up Candy Crush Saga storage

Candy Crush Saga stores level assets, event art, and ad videos on the phone. It is smaller than a battle royale, but months of events still leave a cache. Lives and level progress stay on your King account if you are signed in.

See how much space Candy Crush Saga is using

iPhone

  1. Open the iPhone Settings app.
  2. Tap General > iPhone Storage.
  3. Tap Candy Crush Saga.

Android

  1. Open your phone Settings > Apps (or Apps and notifications).
  2. Tap Candy Crush Saga.
  3. Tap Storage or Storage and cache.

Candy Crush does not have a PUBG-style repair menu. System cache is the main lever.

What you can safely remove

Event art, sound, and ad clips are cache. Your current level, gold bars, and boosters are account data if you signed in with King, Apple, Google, or Facebook.

There is no honest in-app "delete levels" switch. Use Android Clear cache, then reinstall only if the system total is still high.

Keep progress linked

  1. Open Candy Crush and tap the settings gear.
  2. Confirm you are signed in to King or a connected account.
  3. If you play on more than one device, wait for the cloud checkmark before you delete the app.

Guest progress can stay only on this phone. Link an account before a reset.

Clear Candy Crush Saga cache on Android

  1. Open your phone Settings > Apps > Candy Crush Saga.
  2. Tap Storage or Storage and cache.
  3. Tap Clear cache.

Do not tap Clear storage / Clear data unless you mean to reset Candy Crush Saga on this phone. Guest progress that was never linked can disappear. Linked King progress stays on the account.

iPhone does not offer a separate Candy Crush Saga cache button. Use the in-app steps on this page, or offload the app in iPhone Storage if the system total stays high.

Reinstall the app if storage is still high

If you already cleaned media and Candy Crush Saga still looks huge, a fresh install can clear leftover cache and temp files that are hard to reach by hand.

  1. Sign in to King (or Facebook / Apple / Google) first. Level progress is usually in the cloud after that. Guest saves can stay only on this phone.
  2. Delete the app from your phone.
  3. Restart your phone.
  4. Install Candy Crush Saga again from the App Store or Google Play.
  5. Sign in and restore from backup if the app offers it.

This often frees a lot of space. You may need to download some media again after restore.

What to do next

After Candy Crush Saga is lighter, check your photo library for duplicates and similar shots. That is what Dedupo is for.
