Free up Cash App storage
Cash App caches payment stickers, Bitcoin charts, and statement previews. Activity stays on your Cash App account. The app is usually small. Exported statements live in Files.

Cache and statements
Android Clear cache drops art and charts. PDF statements in Files are separate. Do not clear data unless you mean to set up Cash App again on this phone.
Clear Cash App cache on Android
- Open your phone Settings > Apps > Cash App.
- Tap Storage or Storage and cache.
- Tap Clear cache.
Do not tap Clear storage / Clear data unless you mean to reset Cash App on this phone. Clear data signs you out. Money stays on the Cash App account.
iPhone does not offer a separate Cash App cache button. Use the in-app steps on this page, or offload the app in iPhone Storage if the system total stays high.
Reinstall the app if storage is still high
If you already cleaned media and Cash App still looks huge, a fresh install can clear leftover cache and temp files that are hard to reach by hand.
- Balance and history stay on Cash App. You will sign in and may confirm this device again after reinstall.
- Delete the app from your phone.
- Restart your phone.
- Install Cash App again from the App Store or Google Play.
- Sign in and restore from backup if the app offers it.
This often frees a lot of space. You may need to download some media again after restore.
What to do next
After Cash App is lighter, check your photo library for duplicates and similar shots. That is what Dedupo is for.
