Free up Chase storage
Chase Mobile caches statement PDFs you opened, document previews, and Zelle conversation photos. Account activity stays at Chase. Keep the statements and documents you need. This page is cache only. Use official Chase help paths, not third-party cleaners.
See how much space Chase is using
iPhone
- Open the iPhone Settings app.
- Tap General > iPhone Storage.
- Tap Chase.
Android
- Open your phone Settings > Apps (or Apps and notifications).
- Tap Chase.
- Tap Storage or Storage and cache.
If Chase looks large, check Files for statements you saved before you blame the app cache.
Statements & documents stay at Chase
Chase Help: Profile & Settings > Statements & documents (Document manager) > Statements, then pick the account and year to open a PDF. Depending on the account, Chase keeps up to seven years. Do not delete those records if you still need them. Chase can show them again after you sign in.
Paperless enrollment is Profile & Settings > Settings > Account settings > Paperless. That changes mail, not phone cache.
Zelle chat media
Chase Help: Zelle lives inside Chase Mobile (Pay & transfer / Send money with Zelle). Photos or screenshots from a Zelle thread can sit in cache. Payments stay on the account. Save anything you still need for a dispute, then clear cache. Do not delete statements or transfer records you need.
Cache only
Chase does not document an in-app storage cleaner. Android Clear cache drops previews and chat thumbnails. It does not close accounts or cancel payments. PDFs in Files are separate.
Clear Chase cache on Android
- Open your phone Settings > Apps > Chase.
- Tap Storage or Storage and cache.
- Tap Clear cache.
Do not tap Clear storage / Clear data unless you mean to reset Chase on this phone. That signs you out. Money stays at Chase. You may need device and identity checks again.
iPhone does not offer a separate Chase cache button. Use the in-app steps on this page, or offload the app in iPhone Storage if the system total stays high.
Reinstall the app if storage is still high
If you already cleaned media and Chase still looks huge, a fresh install can clear leftover cache and temp files that are hard to reach by hand.
- Accounts and history stay at Chase. Sign in again after reinstall. You may need device and identity checks. Keep any statements you already saved if you still need them.
- Delete the app from your phone.
- Restart your phone.
- Install Chase again from the App Store or Google Play.
- Sign in and restore from backup if the app offers it.
This often frees a lot of space. You may need to download some media again after restore.
What to do next
After Chase is lighter, check your photo library for duplicates and similar shots. That is what Dedupo is for.
