Free up app storage

Free up Cici storage

Cici keeps chats on your account. Generated images, clips, and files you save are what take space on this phone, plus cache. Clearing cache does not delete Cici chats.

See how much space Cici is using

iPhone

  1. Open the iPhone Settings app.
  2. Tap General > iPhone Storage.
  3. Tap Cici.

Android

  1. Open your phone Settings > Apps.
  2. Tap Cici.
  3. Tap Storage or Storage and cache.

If Cici has an in-app Clear cache or Storage row under Settings, use that first. Labels move between versions.

Delete generated media saved on this phone

  1. Open Photos or Gallery and delete Cici images or videos you saved.
  2. Empty Recently Deleted / Trash.
  3. Check Files or Downloads for exported pictures and audio.

Generated media can still sit in the Cici chat on your account after you delete the local copy.

Clear Cici cache on Android

  1. Open your phone Settings > Apps > Cici.
  2. Tap Storage or Storage and cache.
  3. Tap Clear cache.

Do not tap Clear storage / Clear data unless you mean to sign out and reset Cici. Cloud chats remain.

iPhone does not offer a separate Cici cache button. Offload or reinstall if the total stays high.

Reinstall the app if storage is still high

If you already cleaned media and Cici still looks huge, a fresh install can clear leftover cache and temp files that are hard to reach by hand.

  1. Chats stay in your Cici account. Save generated images or files that exist only on this phone. Reinstalling does not delete cloud chats.
  2. Delete the app from your phone.
  3. Restart your phone.
  4. Install Cici again from the App Store or Google Play.
  5. Sign in and restore from backup if the app offers it.

This often frees a lot of space. You may need to download some media again after restore.

What to do next

After Cici is lighter, check your photo library for duplicates and similar shots. That is what Dedupo is for.
