Free up app storage

Free up ClickUp storage

ClickUp tasks, Docs, and attachments live in your Workspace. This phone stores cache, offline leftovers, and files you downloaded from a task. Clearing cache does not delete the Workspace. Removing an attachment from a task does.

See how much space ClickUp is using

iPhone

  1. Open the iPhone Settings app.
  2. Tap General > iPhone Storage.
  3. Tap ClickUp.

Android

  1. Open your phone Settings > Apps.
  2. Tap ClickUp.
  3. Tap Storage or Storage and cache.

Task attachments

  1. Open a task.
  2. Open attachments.
  3. Remove a file from the task only if you mean to delete it from the Workspace.

Attachments are Workspace data. Copies saved to Files or Downloads are user files. Clearing ClickUp cache does not remove those copies.

Docs, Clips, and Whiteboards

ClickUp Docs and media-heavy views cache images on the phone. That is cache. The Doc stays in ClickUp. Deleting a Doc or attachment in the Workspace is permanent after Trash is emptied.

Clear ClickUp cache on Android

  1. Open your phone Settings > Apps > ClickUp.
  2. Tap Storage or Storage and cache.
  3. Tap Clear cache.

Do not tap Clear storage / Clear data unless you mean to sign out. Unsynced comments or uploads on this phone can be lost.

Reinstall the app if storage is still high

If you already cleaned media and ClickUp still looks huge, a fresh install can clear leftover cache and temp files that are hard to reach by hand.

  1. Workspace tasks and Docs stay in ClickUp. Wait until offline edits and attachment uploads finish. Files saved only to this phone are local.
  2. Delete the app from your phone.
  3. Restart your phone.
  4. Install ClickUp again from the App Store or Google Play.
  5. Sign in and restore from backup if the app offers it.

This often frees a lot of space. You may need to download some media again after restore.

What to do next

After ClickUp is lighter, check your photo library for duplicates and similar shots. That is what Dedupo is for.
