Free up Clubhouse storage
Clubhouse caches audio and room media so halls load quickly. Follows and your profile stay on your account. Clubhouse does not have a WhatsApp-style Free up Storage screen.
See how much space Clubhouse is using
iPhone
- Open the iPhone Settings app.
- Tap General > iPhone Storage.
- Tap Clubhouse.
Android
- Open your phone Settings > Apps (or Apps and notifications).
- Tap Clubhouse.
- Tap Storage or Storage and cache.
Replays and saved audio on the phone
If you downloaded a replay or shared audio to Files or another app, that copy is outside Clubhouse cache. Delete it in Files, Photos, or the download location, including Recently Deleted / Trash.
Clear Clubhouse cache on Android
- Open your phone Settings > Apps > Clubhouse.
- Tap Storage or Storage and cache.
- Tap Clear cache.
Do not tap Clear storage / Clear data unless you mean to reset Clubhouse. That signs you out.
iPhone does not offer a separate Clubhouse cache button. Offload or delete the app in iPhone Storage if the system total stays high.
Reinstall the app if storage is still high
If you already cleaned media and Clubhouse still looks huge, a fresh install can clear leftover cache and temp files that are hard to reach by hand.
- Follows and your profile stay on Clubhouse. Cache is local.
- Delete the app from your phone.
- Restart your phone.
- Install Clubhouse again from the App Store or Google Play.
- Sign in and restore from backup if the app offers it.
This often frees a lot of space. You may need to download some media again after restore.
What to do next
After Clubhouse is lighter, check your photo library for duplicates and similar shots. That is what Dedupo is for.
