Free up Everand storage
Everand stores ebooks, audiobooks, and podcasts you tap Download on so they play without a connection. Saved titles and your place in a book stay on your Everand account. Removing a download only deletes the local file. The title stays in Saved and can be downloaded again later.
See how much space Everand is using
iPhone
- Open the iPhone Settings app.
- Tap General > iPhone Storage.
- Tap Everand.
Android
- Open your phone Settings > Apps.
- Tap Everand.
- Tap Storage or Storage and cache.
Everand does not have a WhatsApp-style storage screen. Open Saved and turn on the Downloaded toggle to see files on this phone.
Remove downloads (keep them in Saved)
- Open Everand and tap Saved (the bookmark).
- Turn on the Downloaded toggle.
- Tap the trash icon under a title, then tap Remove.
Audiobooks are much larger than ebooks. Start with finished listens. You can download on up to 4 devices. Deleting or reinstalling the app removes every local file, so keep titles in Saved first.
Download over Wi-Fi
- Connect to Wi-Fi, open a book About page, and tap Download.
- Wait for the progress indicator to finish.
- If you will be offline for a long trip, open the app on Wi-Fi first so the download license can refresh.
Everand recommends Wi-Fi for downloads. If a downloaded book starts streaming, remove it and download again. Offline files need an active subscription.
Clear cache in the Everand app
- Open Everand and tap Account.
- Open Downloads.
- Tap Clear cache if that button is shown.
That in-app step is the official troubleshooting path on iPhone. It does not remove titles from Saved.
Clear Everand cache on Android
- Open your phone Settings > Apps > Everand.
- Tap Storage or Storage and cache.
- Tap Clear cache.
Do not tap Clear storage / Clear data unless you mean to reset Everand on this phone. That signs you out and removes local downloads. Saved titles stay on your account.
iPhone does not offer a separate system cache button. Use Account > Downloads > Clear cache, remove items in Saved, or offload the app in iPhone Storage if the system total stays high.
Reinstall the app if storage is still high
If you already cleaned media and Everand still looks huge, a fresh install can clear leftover cache and temp files that are hard to reach by hand.
- Keep titles in Saved before you delete the app. Downloads will need to be re-downloaded after you sign in. Your Everand account keeps Saved, bookmarks, and reading position.
- Delete the app from your phone.
- Restart your phone.
- Install Everand again from the App Store or Google Play.
- Sign in and restore from backup if the app offers it.
This often frees a lot of space. You may need to download some media again after restore.
What to do next
After Everand is lighter, check your photo library for duplicates and similar shots. That is what Dedupo is for.
