Free up Facetune storage
Facetune keeps projects on this phone. Lightricks Help says originals stay in Photos or Gallery and projects are not linked to an account. Cache is safe to clear. Drafts can be local-only.
See how much space Facetune is using
iPhone
- Open the iPhone Settings app.
- Tap General > iPhone Storage.
- Tap Facetune.
Android
- Open your phone Settings > Apps (or Apps and notifications).
- Tap Facetune.
- Tap Storage or Storage and cache.
Facetune does not have a WhatsApp-style Free up Storage screen. Projects and export copies are the bulk of the total.
Delete projects you already exported
- On the Facetune home screen, tap See All next to Start Creating.
- Tap the three dots on a project thumbnail.
- Tap Delete. Lightricks Help says deleted projects cannot be recovered.
Export to Photos first if you still want the edit. Drafts live only on this device. Switching phones does not bring them along.
Exports in Photos or Gallery
Facetune FAQ says exported edits save to your gallery. That file can exist twice: once as a project, once in Photos. After you confirm the library copy, delete the project. Then clean duplicate exports in Photos, including Recently Deleted / Trash.
Clear Facetune cache on Android
- Open your phone Settings > Apps > Facetune.
- Tap Storage or Storage and cache.
- Tap Clear cache.
Do not tap Clear storage / Clear data unless you mean to wipe Facetune. That deletes local projects that never exported.
iPhone does not offer a separate Facetune cache button. Delete finished projects, then offload Facetune in iPhone Storage if the total stays high.
Reinstall the app if storage is still high
If you already cleaned media and Facetune still looks huge, a fresh install can clear leftover cache and temp files that are hard to reach by hand.
- Projects are saved only on this phone, not to an account. Export keepers to Photos first. Local drafts are lost if you delete the app.
- Delete the app from your phone.
- Restart your phone.
- Install Facetune again from the App Store or Google Play.
- Sign in and restore from backup if the app offers it.
This often frees a lot of space. You may need to download some media again after restore.
What to do next
After Facetune is lighter, check your photo library for duplicates and similar shots. That is what Dedupo is for.
