Free up app storage

Free up Fubo storage

Fubo does not save live TV or Cloud DVR shows as offline files on the phone. Recordings, favorites, and Continue Watching live in My Stuff on your Fubo account and need a connection to play. The leftover on this phone is a playback cache so live channels and DVR start quickly.

See how much space Fubo is using

iPhone

  1. Open the iPhone Settings app.
  2. Tap General > iPhone Storage.
  3. Tap Fubo.

Android

  1. Open your phone Settings > Apps.
  2. Tap Fubo.
  3. Tap Storage or Storage and cache.

Fubo does not have a WhatsApp-style storage screen. Cloud DVR size is an account limit, not phone storage.

My Stuff and Cloud DVR (account, not this phone)

  1. Open Fubo and tap My Stuff.
  2. Open the Recorded tab for Cloud DVR, or Added for titles you saved.
  3. Delete a recording only if you no longer want it in the cloud library.

US plans include unlimited Cloud DVR. Removing a recording frees account library space. It does not shrink the phone cache. Clearing the phone cache does not delete My Stuff.

Playback cache

Live guide art, sports tiles, and recently opened DVR streams leave temporary files on the phone. There is no official in-app download manager because Fubo does not offer offline viewing.

Clear Fubo cache on Android

  1. Open your phone Settings > Apps > Fubo.
  2. Tap Storage or Storage and cache.
  3. Tap Clear cache.

Do not tap Clear storage / Clear data unless you mean to reset Fubo on this phone. That signs you out. Cloud DVR and My Stuff stay on your Fubo account.

iPhone does not offer a separate Fubo cache button. Use the in-app steps on this page, or offload the app in iPhone Storage if the system total stays high.

Reinstall the app if storage is still high

If you already cleaned media and Fubo still looks huge, a fresh install can clear leftover cache and temp files that are hard to reach by hand.

  1. Cloud DVR, My Stuff, and watch history stay on your Fubo account. Sign in again after reinstall.
  2. Delete the app from your phone.
  3. Restart your phone.
  4. Install Fubo again from the App Store or Google Play.
  5. Sign in and restore from backup if the app offers it.

This often frees a lot of space. You may need to download some media again after restore.

What to do next

After Fubo is lighter, check your photo library for duplicates and similar shots. That is what Dedupo is for.
