Free up Glovo storage
Glovo caches map tiles, store photos, and courier chat images. Food, groceries, and courier orders stay on your Glovo account. Maps and chat files are the local leftover.
See how much space Glovo is using
iPhone
- Open the iPhone Settings app.
- Tap General > iPhone Storage.
- Tap Glovo.
Android
- Open your phone Settings > Apps (or Apps and notifications).
- Tap Glovo.
- Tap Storage or Storage and cache.
Anything delivery means more store photos than a single restaurant app.
Maps and store photo cache
Glovo does not give a WhatsApp-style storage screen. Android Clear cache drops map tiles and shop photos. Past orders stay in your Glovo history.
Chat files
Courier chat can include photos from a store run. Save anything you need for a dispute, then clear cache. Receipts stay on the account.
Clear Glovo cache on Android
- Open your phone Settings > Apps > Glovo.
- Tap Storage or Storage and cache.
- Tap Clear cache.
Do not tap Clear storage / Clear data unless you mean to reset Glovo on this phone. That signs you out. History stays on the account.
iPhone does not offer a separate Glovo cache button. Use the in-app steps on this page, or offload the app in iPhone Storage if the system total stays high.
Reinstall the app if storage is still high
If you already cleaned media and Glovo still looks huge, a fresh install can clear leftover cache and temp files that are hard to reach by hand.
- Orders, Prime, and payment methods stay on your Glovo account. Sign in again after reinstall.
- Delete the app from your phone.
- Restart your phone.
- Install Glovo again from the App Store or Google Play.
- Sign in and restore from backup if the app offers it.
This often frees a lot of space. You may need to download some media again after restore.
What to do next
After Glovo is lighter, check your photo library for duplicates and similar shots. That is what Dedupo is for.
