Free up app storage

Free up Hay Day storage

Hay Day keeps farm art, animal animations, and event assets on the phone. The farm, coins, and decorations stay on Supercell servers once you use a Supercell ID. Official help has no in-app storage cleaner. Cache and a reinstall are the real options.

See how much space Hay Day is using

iPhone

  1. Open the iPhone Settings app.
  2. Tap General > iPhone Storage.
  3. Tap Hay Day.

Android

  1. Open your phone Settings > Apps (or Apps and notifications).
  2. Tap Hay Day.
  3. Tap Storage or Storage and cache.

Event art and leftover farm cache are usually larger than the village data itself.

Hay Day has no in-app cleaner

Supercell does not publish a Free up Storage or resource-delete screen for Hay Day. Crops, animals, and decorations are not files you pick from a list. The leftover on the phone is cache and downloaded event assets. Android Clear cache is the official-style first step. It does not move the farm.

Confirm Supercell ID before you reset

  1. Open Hay Day and tap the gear.
  2. Open Supercell ID (official help: Settings, then the button under Supercell ID).
  3. Make sure you can sign in with that ID after a reinstall.

Without a Supercell ID, a farm can stay stuck on this phone. Help & Support is for a lost account, not for deleting cache.

Clear Hay Day cache on Android

  1. Open your phone Settings > Apps > Hay Day.
  2. Tap Storage or Storage and cache.
  3. Tap Clear cache.

Do not tap Clear storage / Clear data unless you mean to reset Hay Day on this phone. That signs you out. The farm stays on your Supercell ID. Event assets download again.

iPhone does not offer a separate Hay Day cache button. Use the in-app steps on this page, or offload the app in iPhone Storage if the system total stays high.

Reinstall the app if storage is still high

If you already cleaned media and Hay Day still looks huge, a fresh install can clear leftover cache and temp files that are hard to reach by hand.

  1. Confirm your Supercell ID first. The farm is saved on Supercell servers after that. Farm cache and event assets download again.
  2. Delete the app from your phone.
  3. Restart your phone.
  4. Install Hay Day again from the App Store or Google Play.
  5. Sign in and restore from backup if the app offers it.

This often frees a lot of space. You may need to download some media again after restore.

What to do next

After Hay Day is lighter, check your photo library for duplicates and similar shots. That is what Dedupo is for.
