Free up Honkai: Star Rail storage

Honkai: Star Rail keeps voice packs, scene files, and leftover pre-downloads on the phone. Trailblaze progress, Stellar Jade, and characters stay on your HoYoverse account. HoYoverse documents voice-pack cleanup. It does not publish a WhatsApp-style Free up Storage button.

iPhone

1. Open the iPhone Settings app.
2. Tap General > iPhone Storage.
3. Tap Honkai: Star Rail.

Android

1. Open your phone Settings > Apps (or Apps and notifications).
2. Tap Honkai: Star Rail.
3. Tap Storage or Storage and cache.

Extra voice languages and unused scene resources are usually the first gigabytes to drop.

Manage voice packs

1. Open Honkai: Star Rail and open the Phone menu.
2. Open Settings.
3. Go to Language > Settings > Voice > Voice Pack Resource Management.
4. Remove English, Japanese, Chinese, or Korean packs you do not use. Do not delete the language that is currently selected.

This is the path HoYoverse lists for storage. Selected packs can download new content automatically. Use Wi-Fi for those files.

Unused scene resources and pre-downloads

1. Stay in Settings and open Resources or Resource Download if that tab is shown.
2. Delete leftover pre-download or update packages if the game lists them.
3. Remove unused region or scene resources only when Star Rail offers a delete control. Do not delete game folders by hand.

Labels can vary by version. Repair or resource check replaces broken files. It does not shrink the install.

Clear Honkai: Star Rail cache on Android

1. Open your phone Settings > Apps > Honkai: Star Rail.
2. Tap Storage or Storage and cache.
3. Tap Clear cache.

Do not tap Clear storage / Clear data unless you mean to reset Honkai: Star Rail on this phone. That signs you out. Cloud progress stays on the HoYoverse account. The next launch will download resources again.

iPhone does not offer a separate Honkai: Star Rail cache button. Use the in-app steps on this page, or offload the app in iPhone Storage if the system total stays high.

Reinstall the app if storage is still high

If you already cleaned media and Honkai: Star Rail still looks huge, a fresh install can clear leftover cache and temp files that are hard to reach by hand.

1. Sign in to HoYoverse first. Characters, Stellar Jade, and inventory stay on the account. Voice packs and scenes download again as you play.
2. Delete the app from your phone.
3. Restart your phone.
4. Install Honkai: Star Rail again from the App Store or Google Play.
5. Sign in and restore from backup if the app offers it.

This often frees a lot of space. You may need to download some media again after restore.
