Free up app storage

Free up Honor of Kings storage

Honor of Kings stores hero models, skins, maps, and voice packs. That resource pile is the install. Your rank and heroes stay on your Level Infinite / Tencent account. Use the in-game download and repair tools, not random folder deletes.

See how much space Honor of Kings is using

iPhone

  1. Open the iPhone Settings app.
  2. Tap General > iPhone Storage.
  3. Tap Honor of Kings.

Android

  1. Open your phone Settings > Apps (or Apps and notifications).
  2. Tap Honor of Kings.
  3. Tap Storage or Storage and cache.

Unused hero resources and HD packs are the usual extra gigabytes.

Repair or clear cache in Honor of Kings

  1. Open Honor of Kings and tap Settings.
  2. Open Download, Resources, or Support.
  3. Tap Clear cache if listed.
  4. Tap Repair only if heroes or maps fail to load. Repair re-downloads files.

Cache clear frees leftovers. Repair replaces broken files and does not shrink the game.

Remove extra download resources

  1. Open the download / resources screen.
  2. Delete unused voice languages or high-definition packs.
  3. Skip downloading extra hero showcases you do not play.

You can fetch a hero pack again when you pick that hero. Do it on Wi-Fi.

Clear Honor of Kings cache on Android

  1. Open your phone Settings > Apps > Honor of Kings.
  2. Tap Storage or Storage and cache.
  3. Tap Clear cache.

Do not tap Clear storage / Clear data unless you mean to reset Honor of Kings on this phone. That signs you out. Rank and heroes stay on the account.

iPhone does not offer a separate Honor of Kings cache button. Use the in-app steps on this page, or offload the app in iPhone Storage if the system total stays high.

Reinstall the app if storage is still high

If you already cleaned media and Honor of Kings still looks huge, a fresh install can clear leftover cache and temp files that are hard to reach by hand.

  1. Sign in to the account you use for this game first. Progress is usually saved in the cloud and comes back after you sign in. Cached maps and extra resources download again when you play.
  2. Delete the app from your phone.
  3. Restart your phone.
  4. Install Honor of Kings again from the App Store or Google Play.
  5. Sign in and restore from backup if the app offers it.

This often frees a lot of space. You may need to download some media again after restore.

What to do next

After Honor of Kings is lighter, check your photo library for duplicates and similar shots. That is what Dedupo is for.
