Free up Hulu storage

Hulu stores episodes and movies you save for offline viewing, plus a watch cache so the next title starts quickly. My Stuff and watch history stay on your account. Removing a download only deletes the file on this phone.

See how much space Hulu is using

iPhone

Open the iPhone Settings app.
Tap General > iPhone Storage.
Tap Hulu.

Android

Open your phone Settings > Apps.
Tap Hulu.
Tap Storage or Storage and cache.

Hulu does not have a WhatsApp-style storage screen. Open Downloads (often under My Stuff) to see files on this phone.

Delete downloads

Open Hulu and go to My Stuff or the Downloads tab.
Open Downloads.
Tap a title and remove the download, or use Edit if that button is shown.

Full seasons take more space than a single episode. The show stays in My Stuff and can be downloaded again later.

Lower download quality

Open Hulu and tap your profile or the menu.
Open Account or app settings, then Downloads if listed.
Set a lower download quality and turn off cellular downloads if that toggle is shown.

New downloads will be smaller. Titles already on the phone stay at the old quality until you remove them.

Clear Hulu cache on Android

Open your phone Settings > Apps > Hulu.
Tap Storage or Storage and cache.
Tap Clear cache.

Do not tap Clear storage / Clear data unless you mean to reset Hulu on this phone. That signs you out and removes local downloads. My Stuff stays on your account.

iPhone does not offer a separate Hulu cache button. Delete items under Downloads, or offload the app in iPhone Storage if the system total stays high.

Reinstall the app if storage is still high

If you already cleaned media and Hulu still looks huge, a fresh install can clear leftover cache and temp files that are hard to reach by hand.

Downloads will need to be re-downloaded after you sign in. Your account keeps My Stuff and watch history.
Delete the app from your phone.
Restart your phone.
Install Hulu again from the App Store or Google Play.
Sign in and restore from backup if the app offers it.

This often frees a lot of space. You may need to download some media again after restore.
