Free up Identity V storage
Identity V keeps maps, skins, music, and story files on the phone. Characters, Echoes, and rank stay on your NetEase account. Official support is the in-game contact form. NetEase does not publish a dedicated storage article. If Settings lists a package cleanup, use that. Do not invent a Free up Storage button.
See how much space Identity V is using
iPhone
- Open the iPhone Settings app.
- Tap General > iPhone Storage.
- Tap Identity V.
Android
- Open your phone Settings > Apps (or Apps and notifications).
- Tap Identity V.
- Tap Storage or Storage and cache.
Maps, unused story data, and leftover skin files are usually the extra space.
Check Settings for package cleanup
- Open Identity V and tap the gear (Settings).
- Scroll for Package or a resource / download section.
- If you see a control to delete redundant or unused resource files, use it.
- Delete optional music or story downloads only if those rows are listed.
Players report a Delete redundant resource files row under Package. Official English help does not document that label, and wording can vanish after an update. Use only what the current client shows. Official contact is Settings > the phone / contact icon.
Voice and unused downloads
Identity V does not publish an official voice-pack manager like HoYoverse. If Settings lets you skip or remove unused voice, music, or story data, do that on Wi-Fi later when you need the file again. There is no verified in-app cache button beyond whatever Package list is present.
Clear Identity V cache on Android
- Open your phone Settings > Apps > Identity V.
- Tap Storage or Storage and cache.
- Tap Clear cache.
Do not tap Clear storage / Clear data unless you mean to reset Identity V on this phone. That signs you out. Characters stay on the NetEase account. Maps and skins download again.
iPhone does not offer a separate Identity V cache button. Use the in-app steps on this page, or offload the app in iPhone Storage if the system total stays high.
Reinstall the app if storage is still high
If you already cleaned media and Identity V still looks huge, a fresh install can clear leftover cache and temp files that are hard to reach by hand.
- Sign in to the NetEase account first. Characters, Echoes, and rank stay on the account. Maps, skins, and voice files download again.
- Delete the app from your phone.
- Restart your phone.
- Install Identity V again from the App Store or Google Play.
- Sign in and restore from backup if the app offers it.
This often frees a lot of space. You may need to download some media again after restore.
What to do next
After Identity V is lighter, check your photo library for duplicates and similar shots. That is what Dedupo is for.
