Free up JioSaavn storage

JioSaavn stores downloaded songs and playlists, plus a radio / playback cache so tracks start quickly. My Music stays on your account. Removing a download only deletes the copy on this phone.

iPhone

1. Open the iPhone Settings app.
2. Tap General > iPhone Storage.
3. Tap JioSaavn.

Android

1. Open your phone Settings > Apps.
2. Tap JioSaavn.
3. Tap Storage or Storage and cache.

JioSaavn does not have a WhatsApp-style storage screen. Open My Music > Downloads.

Remove downloads

1. Open JioSaavn and tap My Music.
2. Tap Downloads.
3. Select songs, albums, or playlists you do not need offline and remove them.

Liked songs and playlists stay in My Music. Only the offline files leave this phone.

Change download settings

1. Open JioSaavn and tap your profile or the menu.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Open downloads, storage, or audio quality.
4. Lower download quality, and turn off radio or auto cache if that option is shown.

Radio stations keep a rotating cache. That is smaller than a full download library, but it grows after long listening.

Clear JioSaavn cache on Android

1. Open your phone Settings > Apps > JioSaavn.
2. Tap Storage or Storage and cache.
3. Tap Clear cache.

Do not tap Clear storage / Clear data unless you mean to reset JioSaavn on this phone. That signs you out and removes local downloads. My Music stays on your account.

iPhone does not offer a separate JioSaavn cache button. Remove items under My Music > Downloads, or offload the app in iPhone Storage if the system total stays high.

Reinstall the app if storage is still high

If you already cleaned media and JioSaavn still looks huge, a fresh install can clear leftover cache and temp files that are hard to reach by hand.

1. Downloads will need to be re-downloaded after you sign in. Your account keeps My Music, playlists, and likes.
2. Delete the app from your phone.
3. Restart your phone.
4. Install JioSaavn again from the App Store or Google Play.
5. Sign in and restore from backup if the app offers it.

This often frees a lot of space. You may need to download some media again after restore.
