Free up Kuaishou storage

Kuaishou (the China app, 快手) caches videos, effects, and drafts on this phone. Posted videos stay on your account. Use in-app clear cache / storage space. There is no WhatsApp-style per-chat Free up Storage list.

See how much space Kuaishou is using

Open Kuaishou and tap Me (我).
Tap the gear / menu > Settings (设置).
Open Clear cache (清理缓存) or Storage space (存储空间) if listed. The size shown is local cache.

iPhone

Open iPhone Settings > General > iPhone Storage and tap the Kuaishou app name.

Android

Open your phone Settings > Apps > Kuaishou > Storage or Storage and cache.

Clear cache

Open Settings (设置).
Tap Clear cache (清理缓存) or clean cache under Storage space.
Confirm.

This removes temporary watch files and some downloaded effects. Posted videos stay. Drafts usually stay until you delete them.

Delete drafts

Open the camera / create screen.
Open Drafts (草稿).
Delete clips you do not need. Export to Photos first if you still want the video.

Stop saving copies to the album

When you export, turn off save to album if the share sheet offers it. Delete extra copies in Photos or Gallery, including Recently Deleted / Trash.

Clear Kuaishou cache on Android

Open your phone Settings > Apps > Kuaishou.
Tap Storage or Storage and cache.
Tap Clear cache.

Prefer the in-app cleaner first. Do not tap Clear storage / Clear data unless you mean to reset Kuaishou. That signs you out and can delete local drafts.

iPhone does not offer a separate Kuaishou cache button in system Settings. Use Settings > Clear cache inside Kuaishou instead.

Reinstall the app if storage is still high

If you already cleaned media and Kuaishou still looks huge, a fresh install can clear leftover cache and temp files that are hard to reach by hand.

Posted videos stay on Kuaishou. Save drafts you still want to Photos first.
Delete the app from your phone.
Restart your phone.
Install Kuaishou again from the App Store or Google Play.
Sign in and restore from backup if the app offers it.

This often frees a lot of space. You may need to download some media again after restore.
