Free up app storage

Free up Lemon8 storage

Lemon8 caches photos and videos from the feed and keeps drafts on this phone. Posted notes stay on your account. Lemon8 does not document a TikTok-style Free up space screen. Do not look for a fake one.

See how much space Lemon8 is using

iPhone

  1. Open the iPhone Settings app.
  2. Tap General > iPhone Storage.
  3. Tap Lemon8.

Android

  1. Open your phone Settings > Apps (or Apps and notifications).
  2. Tap Lemon8.
  3. Tap Storage or Storage and cache.

Clear cache in Settings if you have it

  1. Open Lemon8 and tap your profile.
  2. Tap the menu > Settings and privacy (or Settings).
  3. Tap Clear cache or Storage if listed, then confirm.

If that row is missing, use Android Clear cache or offload on iPhone. Posted notes stay.

Delete drafts

  1. Tap create / the + button.
  2. Open Drafts.
  3. Delete notes you do not need. Save photos to the camera roll first if you still want them.

Drafts with many photos are the heavy local files. They can be lost if you clear app data or reinstall.

Stop saving copies to Photos or Gallery

When you post or save, skip save to album unless you want a copy. Delete extras in Photos or Gallery, including Recently Deleted / Trash.

Clear Lemon8 cache on Android

  1. Open your phone Settings > Apps > Lemon8.
  2. Tap Storage or Storage and cache.
  3. Tap Clear cache.

Do not tap Clear storage / Clear data unless you mean to reset Lemon8. That signs you out and can delete local drafts.

iPhone does not offer a separate Lemon8 cache button. Use in-app Clear cache if present, or offload the app in iPhone Storage.

Reinstall the app if storage is still high

If you already cleaned media and Lemon8 still looks huge, a fresh install can clear leftover cache and temp files that are hard to reach by hand.

  1. Posted notes stay on Lemon8. Save drafts you still want to Photos first.
  2. Delete the app from your phone.
  3. Restart your phone.
  4. Install Lemon8 again from the App Store or Google Play.
  5. Sign in and restore from backup if the app offers it.

This often frees a lot of space. You may need to download some media again after restore.

What to do next

After Lemon8 is lighter, check your photo library for duplicates and similar shots. That is what Dedupo is for.
