Free up Monopoly GO storage

Monopoly GO caches board art, sticker albums, and event videos. Dice, albums, and your board stay on your Scopely account after you sign in. The local pile is event media.

iPhone

1. Open the iPhone Settings app.
2. Tap General > iPhone Storage.
3. Tap Monopoly GO.

Android

1. Open your phone Settings > Apps (or Apps and notifications).
2. Tap Monopoly GO.
3. Tap Storage or Storage and cache.

There is no map-repair screen. Cache and a linked Scopely account are the tools.

Clear event cache

Tournament art and sticker cutscenes sit in cache. Android Clear cache removes them. Your album progress stays on the account.

Confirm the Scopely link

1. Open Monopoly GO settings.
2. Confirm you are signed in with Scopely, Apple, Google, or Facebook.

Without that link, a reinstall can start a new board.

Clear Monopoly GO cache on Android

1. Open your phone Settings > Apps > Monopoly GO.
2. Tap Storage or Storage and cache.
3. Tap Clear cache.

Do not tap Clear storage / Clear data unless you mean to reset Monopoly GO on this phone. An unlinked board can disappear. Linked Scopely progress stays.

iPhone does not offer a separate Monopoly GO cache button. Use the in-app steps on this page, or offload the app in iPhone Storage if the system total stays high.

Reinstall the app if storage is still high

If you already cleaned media and Monopoly GO still looks huge, a fresh install can clear leftover cache and temp files that are hard to reach by hand.

1. Sign in to Scopely first. Dice, stickers, and the board are usually in the cloud after that. Guest boards can stay only on this phone.
2. Delete the app from your phone.
3. Restart your phone.
4. Install Monopoly GO again from the App Store or Google Play.
5. Sign in and restore from backup if the app offers it.

This often frees a lot of space. You may need to download some media again after restore.
