Free up Notion storage
Notion pages live in your Notion workspace. This phone stores offline pages, embedded images, and file attachments you opened. Clearing cache does not delete workspace pages. Moving a page to Trash does.
See how much space Notion is using
iPhone
- Open the iPhone Settings app.
- Tap General > iPhone Storage.
- Tap Notion.
Android
- Open your phone Settings > Apps.
- Tap Notion.
- Tap Storage or Storage and cache.
Offline pages
- Open Notion settings (sidebar / profile).
- Open Offline or the list of pages available offline.
- Remove pages you do not need on this phone.
The pages stay in the workspace. Only the local copy is dropped. Images and PDFs on those pages are usually the bulky part.
Clear cache
- Open Notion > Settings.
- Tap Clear cache if you see it.
Cache is recently opened blocks and media. It is not Trash. Workspace files stay.
Attachments are still workspace files
Images, PDFs, and uploads in a page are Notion data. Deleting a block or emptying Notion Trash removes that file from the workspace after the Trash period. That is permanent for the account, not a cache clear.
Clear Notion cache on Android
- Open your phone Settings > Apps > Notion.
- Tap Storage or Storage and cache.
- Tap Clear cache.
Do not tap Clear storage / Clear data unless you mean to sign out. Unsynced edits on this phone can be lost.
Reinstall the app if storage is still high
If you already cleaned media and Notion still looks huge, a fresh install can clear leftover cache and temp files that are hard to reach by hand.
- Workspace pages stay in Notion. Wait until Offline edits finish syncing. You will sign in again after reinstall.
- Delete the app from your phone.
- Restart your phone.
- Install Notion again from the App Store or Google Play.
- Sign in and restore from backup if the app offers it.
This often frees a lot of space. You may need to download some media again after restore.
What to do next
After Notion is lighter, check your photo library for duplicates and similar shots. That is what Dedupo is for.
