Free up Picsart storage
Picsart keeps project files, stickers, and a cache of editor assets on this phone. Saved exports often go to Photos, Gallery, or a Picsart folder. Picsart Help tells Android users to clear cache from phone Settings. There is no WhatsApp-style Free up Storage screen.
See how much space Picsart is using
iPhone
- Open the iPhone Settings app.
- Tap General > iPhone Storage.
- Tap Picsart.
Android
- Open your phone Settings > Apps (or Apps and notifications).
- Tap Picsart.
- Tap Storage or Storage and cache.
Save then delete local projects
- Open Picsart and go to your projects / Recents.
- Open a project you are done with and export it to Photos if you still need it.
- Delete the project from Picsart.
Unsynced projects are local. Cloud items on your Picsart account come back after you sign in. Local-only work does not.
Delete exported copies in Photos or Gallery
- Open Photos or Gallery (on Android also check Pictures/PicsArt or similar folders).
- Delete extra exports you do not need.
- Empty Recently Deleted / Trash.
The same edit can exist in Picsart and in the camera roll. After you keep one copy, delete the other.
Clear Picsart cache on Android
- Open your phone Settings > Apps > Picsart.
- Tap Storage or Storage and cache.
- Tap Clear cache.
Picsart documents this as the way to refresh the app without losing projects. Do not tap Clear storage / Clear data unless you mean to reset Picsart.
iPhone does not offer a separate Picsart cache button. Export keepers, then offload the app in iPhone Storage if the total stays high (Picsart Help also suggests Offload App for iOS troubleshooting).
Reinstall the app if storage is still high
If you already cleaned media and Picsart still looks huge, a fresh install can clear leftover cache and temp files that are hard to reach by hand.
- Save finished edits to Photos. Unsynced projects on this phone can be lost if you reset the app.
- Delete the app from your phone.
- Restart your phone.
- Install Picsart again from the App Store or Google Play.
- Sign in and restore from backup if the app offers it.
This often frees a lot of space. You may need to download some media again after restore.
What to do next
After Picsart is lighter, check your photo library for duplicates and similar shots. That is what Dedupo is for.
