Free up Poe storage
Poe bot chats live in your Poe account. Local space is cache, generated images, and files you saved from a bot. Clearing cache does not delete those chats.
See how much space Poe is using
iPhone
- Open the iPhone Settings app.
- Tap General > iPhone Storage.
- Tap Poe.
Android
- Open your phone Settings > Apps.
- Tap Poe.
- Tap Storage or Storage and cache.
Delete saved bot images and files
- Open Photos or Gallery and delete pictures you saved from image bots.
- Empty Recently Deleted / Trash.
- In Files or Downloads, delete PDFs or other exports from Poe chats.
Each bot conversation still exists on the account after you remove the local copies.
Clear Poe cache on Android
- Open your phone Settings > Apps > Poe.
- Tap Storage or Storage and cache.
- Tap Clear cache.
Do not tap Clear storage / Clear data unless you mean to sign out and reset Poe. Bot chats stay in the account.
iPhone does not offer a separate Poe cache button. Offload or reinstall if the total stays high.
Reinstall the app if storage is still high
If you already cleaned media and Poe still looks huge, a fresh install can clear leftover cache and temp files that are hard to reach by hand.
- Bot chats stay in your Poe account. Save images or files that exist only on this phone. Reinstalling does not delete cloud chats.
- Delete the app from your phone.
- Restart your phone.
- Install Poe again from the App Store or Google Play.
- Sign in and restore from backup if the app offers it.
This often frees a lot of space. You may need to download some media again after restore.
What to do next
After Poe is lighter, check your photo library for duplicates and similar shots. That is what Dedupo is for.
