Free up app storage

Free up Pokémon UNITE storage

Pokémon UNITE keeps maps, Holowear, and a local cache on the phone. Rank, Aeos Gems, and Pokémon stay on your linked account. Official Pokémon UNITE support documents an in-app cache clear on the title screen. There is no WhatsApp-style Free up Storage button.

See how much space Pokémon UNITE is using

Official help starts with remaining space on the device, then the in-app cache clear.

iPhone

  1. Open the iPhone Settings app.
  2. Tap General > iPhone Storage.
  3. Tap Pokémon UNITE.

Android

  1. Open your phone Settings > Applications or Apps.
  2. Tap Pokémon UNITE.
  3. Tap Storage, then note cache vs app size.

Map files and Holowear leftovers are usually the extra space.

Clear cache from the title screen

  1. Open Pokémon UNITE and stay on the title screen.
  2. Select the third icon from the top.
  3. Follow the on-screen steps to perform an application cache clear.

That is the official smartphone path. On Nintendo Switch, official help uses the ZR button on the title screen instead. Cache clear is a repair step. Rank stays on the account. Maps and Holowear can download again.

Link the account before you reset

  1. Link Pokémon UNITE to a Nintendo Account, Pokémon Trainer Central account, Google account, or Apple ID. Official save-data help lists those platforms.
  2. Availability varies by device.

Pokémon UNITE saves automatically. Recovery needs that linked login. Do not clear device data by accident while you follow official Android steps.

Clear Pokémon UNITE cache on Android

  1. Open your phone Settings > Applications > Pokémon UNITE.
  2. Tap Storage.
  3. Tap Clear Cache. Official help uses those labels and notes the path can vary by phone.

Do not tap Clear storage / Clear data unless you mean to reset Pokémon UNITE on this phone. Official help says not to delete device data by accident. Rank stays on the linked account.

iPhone does not offer a separate Pokémon UNITE cache button. Use the title-screen cache clear, or offload the app in iPhone Storage if the system total stays high.

Reinstall the app if storage is still high

If you already cleaned media and Pokémon UNITE still looks huge, a fresh install can clear leftover cache and temp files that are hard to reach by hand.

  1. Link Nintendo, Pokémon Trainer Central, Google, or Apple first. Rank and Pokémon stay on that account. Maps and Holowear cache download again.
  2. Delete the app from your phone.
  3. Restart your phone.
  4. Install Pokémon UNITE again from the App Store or Google Play.
  5. Sign in and restore from backup if the app offers it.

This often frees a lot of space. You may need to download some media again after restore.

What to do next

After Pokémon UNITE is lighter, check your photo library for duplicates and similar shots. That is what Dedupo is for.
