Free up PUBG Mobile storage
PUBG Mobile stores maps, HD textures, replays, and graphics packs on the device. Clearing cache or unused resources frees space. Your rank, skins, and UC stay on your account.
See how much space PUBG Mobile is using
iPhone
- Open the iPhone Settings app.
- Tap General > iPhone Storage.
- Tap PUBG Mobile.
Android
- Open your phone Settings > Apps (or Apps and notifications).
- Tap PUBG Mobile.
- Tap Storage or Storage and cache.
Replays and extra map packs are often the surprise gigabytes.
Repair or clear cache in PUBG Mobile
- Open PUBG Mobile and tap the gear (Settings).
- Open Graphics or the support / repair area (wording depends on version).
- Tap Clear cache if you see it.
- Use Repair only when the game is crashing or missing files. Repair downloads data again.
A cache clear does not remove your account. The lobby may take longer to load the next time.
Manage download resources
- Open Settings and look for Download or Resources.
- Remove HD maps, extra language packs, or modes you do not play.
- Delete old Replays from the replay list if that menu is there.
You can download a map again the next time you queue into it. Do this on Wi-Fi.
Clear PUBG Mobile cache on Android
- Open your phone Settings > Apps > PUBG Mobile.
- Tap Storage or Storage and cache.
- Tap Clear cache.
Do not tap Clear storage / Clear data unless you mean to reset PUBG Mobile on this phone. That signs you out. Progress stays on your PUBG Mobile account.
iPhone does not offer a separate PUBG Mobile cache button. Use the in-app steps on this page, or offload the app in iPhone Storage if the system total stays high.
Reinstall the app if storage is still high
If you already cleaned media and PUBG Mobile still looks huge, a fresh install can clear leftover cache and temp files that are hard to reach by hand.
- Sign in to the account you use for this game first. Progress is usually saved in the cloud and comes back after you sign in. Cached maps and extra resources download again when you play.
- Delete the app from your phone.
- Restart your phone.
- Install PUBG Mobile again from the App Store or Google Play.
- Sign in and restore from backup if the app offers it.
This often frees a lot of space. You may need to download some media again after restore.
What to do next
After PUBG Mobile is lighter, check your photo library for duplicates and similar shots. That is what Dedupo is for.
