Free up Rapido storage

Rapido caches map tiles, captain photos, and route images from bike, auto, and cab rides. Trip history stays on your Rapido account. Maps cache is the local leftover.

iPhone

1. Open the iPhone Settings app.
2. Tap General > iPhone Storage.
3. Tap Rapido.

Android

1. Open your phone Settings > Apps (or Apps and notifications).
2. Tap Rapido.
3. Tap Storage or Storage and cache.

Daily short rides still leave a lot of map tiles. The app itself is usually modest next to social installs.

Maps cache

Rapido does not give a WhatsApp-style storage screen. Android Clear cache drops map tiles and captain photos. Past trips stay in your ride history.

Chat files

Captain chat can include photos or location screenshots. Save anything you need for a dispute, then clear cache. Receipts stay on the account.

Clear Rapido cache on Android

1. Open your phone Settings > Apps > Rapido.
2. Tap Storage or Storage and cache.
3. Tap Clear cache.

Do not tap Clear storage / Clear data unless you mean to reset Rapido on this phone. That signs you out. Trip history stays on the account.

iPhone does not offer a separate Rapido cache button. Use the in-app steps on this page, or offload the app in iPhone Storage if the system total stays high.

Reinstall the app if storage is still high

If you already cleaned media and Rapido still looks huge, a fresh install can clear leftover cache and temp files that are hard to reach by hand.

1. Ride history and saved places stay on your Rapido account. Sign in again after reinstall.
2. Delete the app from your phone.
3. Restart your phone.
4. Install Rapido again from the App Store or Google Play.
5. Sign in and restore from backup if the app offers it.

This often frees a lot of space. You may need to download some media again after restore.
