Free up Rappi storage

Rappi caches map tiles, restaurant photos, and rappitendero chat images. Food, turbo, and courier orders stay on your Rappi account. Maps and chat files are the local leftover.

See how much space Rappi is using

iPhone

  1. Open the iPhone Settings app.
  2. Tap General > iPhone Storage.
  3. Tap Rappi.

Android

  1. Open your phone Settings > Apps (or Apps and notifications).
  2. Tap Rappi.
  3. Tap Storage or Storage and cache.

Rappi is a few apps in one (food, mart, courier). Photo cache adds up.

Maps and store photo cache

Android Clear cache drops maps and menu photos. Past orders stay in Rappi history.

Chat files

Rappitendero chat can include store photos. Save anything you need for a dispute, then clear cache. Receipts stay on the account.

Clear Rappi cache on Android

  1. Open your phone Settings > Apps > Rappi.
  2. Tap Storage or Storage and cache.
  3. Tap Clear cache.

Do not tap Clear storage / Clear data unless you mean to reset Rappi on this phone. That signs you out. History stays on the account.

iPhone does not offer a separate Rappi cache button. Use the in-app steps on this page, or offload the app in iPhone Storage if the system total stays high.

Reinstall the app if storage is still high

If you already cleaned media and Rappi still looks huge, a fresh install can clear leftover cache and temp files that are hard to reach by hand.

  1. Orders, RappiPrime, and payment methods stay on your Rappi account. Sign in again after reinstall.
  2. Delete the app from your phone.
  3. Restart your phone.
  4. Install Rappi again from the App Store or Google Play.
  5. Sign in and restore from backup if the app offers it.

This often frees a lot of space. You may need to download some media again after restore.

What to do next

After Rappi is lighter, check your photo library for duplicates and similar shots. That is what Dedupo is for.
