Free up ReelShort storage
ReelShort caches short episodes as you watch and can store downloads for offline playback. Your account, unlocks, and history stay on the service. Removing downloads only deletes files on this phone.
See how much space ReelShort is using
iPhone
- Open the iPhone Settings app.
- Tap General > iPhone Storage.
- Tap ReelShort.
Android
- Open your phone Settings > Apps.
- Tap ReelShort.
- Tap Storage or Storage and cache.
ReelShort does not have a WhatsApp-style storage screen. Look in profile settings for Downloads or cache, then use Android Clear cache for leftover playback files.
Delete downloaded episodes
- Open ReelShort and tap your profile.
- Open Downloads if listed.
- Remove series or episodes you do not need offline.
Autoplay of the next episode keeps a large watch cache. That is often the reason ReelShort looks huge after a binge, even with few named downloads.
Clear ReelShort cache on Android
- Open your phone Settings > Apps > ReelShort.
- Tap Storage or Storage and cache.
- Tap Clear cache.
Do not tap Clear storage / Clear data unless you mean to reset ReelShort on this phone. That signs you out and removes local downloads. Unlocks and history stay on your account after you sign in.
iPhone does not offer a separate ReelShort cache button. Delete downloads in the app, or offload ReelShort in iPhone Storage if the system total stays high.
Reinstall the app if storage is still high
If you already cleaned media and ReelShort still looks huge, a fresh install can clear leftover cache and temp files that are hard to reach by hand.
- Downloaded episodes will need to be re-downloaded after you sign in. Your account keeps unlocks, history, and the library.
- Delete the app from your phone.
- Restart your phone.
- Install ReelShort again from the App Store or Google Play.
- Sign in and restore from backup if the app offers it.
This often frees a lot of space. You may need to download some media again after restore.
What to do next
After ReelShort is lighter, check your photo library for duplicates and similar shots. That is what Dedupo is for.
