Free up app storage

Free up Roblox storage

Roblox downloads experiences you play so they open faster next time. Those cached places, plus textures and audio, grow after you hop through many games. Your avatar, Robux, and progress stay on your Roblox account.

See how much space Roblox is using

iPhone

  1. Open the iPhone Settings app.
  2. Tap General > iPhone Storage.
  3. Tap Roblox.

Android

  1. Open your phone Settings > Apps (or Apps and notifications).
  2. Tap Roblox.
  3. Tap Storage or Storage and cache.

The number you see is the app plus cached experiences on this phone, not your Roblox inventory in the cloud.

Remove cached experiences

  1. Open Roblox and tap the gear (Settings).
  2. Look for Storage, Memory, or Clear unused files (the label depends on your app version).
  3. Remove experiences you do not play anymore, or tap the clear option if Roblox offers one.

This deletes local copies of places you already played. Joining an experience again downloads it. If you do not see a storage row, use Android Clear cache or a reinstall.

Clear Roblox cache on Android

  1. Open your phone Settings > Apps > Roblox.
  2. Tap Storage or Storage and cache.
  3. Tap Clear cache.

Do not tap Clear storage / Clear data unless you mean to reset Roblox on this phone. That signs you out of Roblox on this phone. Cloud progress stays on the account.

iPhone does not offer a separate Roblox cache button. Use the in-app steps on this page, or offload the app in iPhone Storage if the system total stays high.

Reinstall the app if storage is still high

If you already cleaned media and Roblox still looks huge, a fresh install can clear leftover cache and temp files that are hard to reach by hand.

  1. Sign in to Roblox first. Avatar items and progress stay on your account. Cached experiences download again when you play them.
  2. Delete the app from your phone.
  3. Restart your phone.
  4. Install Roblox again from the App Store or Google Play.
  5. Sign in and restore from backup if the app offers it.

This often frees a lot of space. You may need to download some media again after restore.

What to do next

After Roblox is lighter, check your photo library for duplicates and similar shots. That is what Dedupo is for.
