Free up Sephora storage
Sephora caches shade photos, review videos, and Beauty Insider banners. Loves, baskets, and points stay on the account. Sephora support tells people to reinstall for app errors. It does not document an in-app storage cleaner.
See how much space Sephora is using
iPhone
- Open the iPhone Settings app.
- Tap General > iPhone Storage.
- Tap Sephora.
Android
- Open your phone Settings > Apps (or Apps and notifications).
- Tap Sephora.
- Tap Storage or Storage and cache.
Swatch photos and review clips are the local leftover. Beauty Insider stays on the account.
Shade photos and review video
Sephora keeps listing images and try-on previews so browse stays fast. That cache is safe to drop. Loves and orders stay on the account.
- Open Sephora and tap the profile / Me tab.
- Open Settings if listed.
- Look for Clear cache or Storage. Most versions have no such row.
If there is no in-app button, use Android Clear cache below.
App issues vs phone storage
Sephora Help for checkout or app errors: update the app, or uninstall and reinstall. For the website they also say clear browser cookies. None of that is a Sephora Free up Storage screen. Prefer Android Clear cache first if you only want media gone.
Clear Sephora cache on Android
- Open your phone Settings > Apps > Sephora.
- Tap Storage or Storage and cache.
- Tap Clear cache.
Do not tap Clear storage / Clear data unless you mean to reset Sephora on this phone. That signs you out. Loves and points stay on Beauty Insider.
iPhone does not offer a separate Sephora cache button. Use the in-app steps on this page, or offload the app in iPhone Storage if the system total stays high.
Reinstall the app if storage is still high
If you already cleaned media and Sephora still looks huge, a fresh install can clear leftover cache and temp files that are hard to reach by hand.
- Loves, orders, and Beauty Insider stay on your Sephora account. You only need to sign in again after reinstall.
- Delete the app from your phone.
- Restart your phone.
- Install Sephora again from the App Store or Google Play.
- Sign in and restore from backup if the app offers it.
This often frees a lot of space. You may need to download some media again after restore.
What to do next
After Sephora is lighter, check your photo library for duplicates and similar shots. That is what Dedupo is for.
