Free up Swiggy storage
Swiggy caches restaurant photos, Instamart product shots, and menu images. Orders and addresses stay on your Swiggy account. Store media is the local leftover.
See how much space Swiggy is using
iPhone
- Open the iPhone Settings app.
- Tap General > iPhone Storage.
- Tap Swiggy.
Android
- Open your phone Settings > Apps (or Apps and notifications).
- Tap Swiggy.
- Tap Storage or Storage and cache.
Food, Instamart, and Dineout photos add up after a few months of browsing.
Restaurant and grocery photo cache
Swiggy does not always show an in-app cache button. Use Android Clear cache. Past orders stay in the account.
Chat files
Delivery partner chat can include photos. Save anything you need for a missing-item claim, then clear cache. Bills stay on the account.
Clear Swiggy cache on Android
- Open your phone Settings > Apps > Swiggy.
- Tap Storage or Storage and cache.
- Tap Clear cache.
Do not tap Clear storage / Clear data unless you mean to reset Swiggy on this phone. That signs you out. Order history stays on the account.
iPhone does not offer a separate Swiggy cache button. Use the in-app steps on this page, or offload the app in iPhone Storage if the system total stays high.
Reinstall the app if storage is still high
If you already cleaned media and Swiggy still looks huge, a fresh install can clear leftover cache and temp files that are hard to reach by hand.
- Orders, addresses, and payment methods stay on your Swiggy account. Sign in again after reinstall.
- Delete the app from your phone.
- Restart your phone.
- Install Swiggy again from the App Store or Google Play.
- Sign in and restore from backup if the app offers it.
This often frees a lot of space. You may need to download some media again after restore.
What to do next
After Swiggy is lighter, check your photo library for duplicates and similar shots. That is what Dedupo is for.
