Free up app storage

Free up Tokopedia storage

Tokopedia caches listing photos, promo videos, and chat images from sellers. Orders and chat text stay on your Tokopedia account. Product and chat media are the local leftover.

See how much space Tokopedia is using

iPhone

  1. Open the iPhone Settings app.
  2. Tap General > iPhone Storage.
  3. Tap Tokopedia.

Android

  1. Open your phone Settings > Apps (or Apps and notifications).
  2. Tap Tokopedia.
  3. Tap Storage or Storage and cache.

The number is mostly product photos, listing videos, and browse cache on this phone. Orders stay on your account.

Clear product photos and video cache

Tokopedia keeps listing images and product videos so the feed scrolls smoothly. That cache is safe to drop. Saved items, orders, and your cart stay on the account.

  1. Open Tokopedia and tap your profile or the person icon.
  2. Open Settings (or Account > Settings).
  3. Look for Clear cache, Storage, or Free up space.
  4. Confirm the clear if Tokopedia shows a size.

If there is no in-app button, use Android Clear cache below. The next browse will download images again.

Seller chat files

Payment screenshots and product photos in chat can sit on the phone. Save anything you need for a dispute, then clear cache. Clearing cache does not close a ticket on Tokopedia.

Clear Tokopedia cache on Android

  1. Open your phone Settings > Apps > Tokopedia.
  2. Tap Storage or Storage and cache.
  3. Tap Clear cache.

Do not tap Clear storage / Clear data unless you mean to reset Tokopedia on this phone. That signs you out. Orders stay on the Tokopedia account. Save chat photos you need for a return first.

iPhone does not offer a separate Tokopedia cache button. Use the in-app steps on this page, or offload the app in iPhone Storage if the system total stays high.

Reinstall the app if storage is still high

If you already cleaned media and Tokopedia still looks huge, a fresh install can clear leftover cache and temp files that are hard to reach by hand.

  1. Orders, saved items, and your account stay with the store. You only need to sign in again after reinstall.
  2. Delete the app from your phone.
  3. Restart your phone.
  4. Install Tokopedia again from the App Store or Google Play.
  5. Sign in and restore from backup if the app offers it.

This often frees a lot of space. You may need to download some media again after restore.

What to do next

After Tokopedia is lighter, check your photo library for duplicates and similar shots. That is what Dedupo is for.
