Free up Vimeo storage

Vimeo can save videos to an offline playlist on the phone. Those files play only inside Vimeo. Your library and Watch Later stay on your account. Offline copies are what fill local storage.

See how much space Vimeo is using

Open Vimeo and tap your profile picture.
Scroll to Library.
Open Offline videos.

That list is what is saved on this phone.

iPhone

Open iPhone Settings > General > iPhone Storage > Vimeo.

Android

Open your phone Settings > Apps > Vimeo > Storage or Storage and cache.

There is no WhatsApp-style Free up Storage screen.

Remove offline videos

Open Offline videos.
Open a video or its menu.
Remove it from the offline playlist / delete the download.

Vimeo Help: while a video is playing, the upper-right icon or the ... menu can Save video offline. Use the same menu to drop it later. Offline files cannot be exported to other apps.

Stop saving new offline copies

Do not tap Save video offline if you are trying to keep Vimeo small. Watch Later is a cloud list. It does not download the file until you save it offline.

Clear Vimeo cache on Android

Open your phone Settings > Apps > Vimeo.
Tap Storage or Storage and cache.
Tap Clear cache.

Do not tap Clear storage / Clear data unless you mean to reset Vimeo. That signs you out and can remove offline videos.

iPhone does not offer a separate Vimeo cache button. Remove offline videos inside Vimeo, then offload the app if the system total stays high.

Reinstall the app if storage is still high

If you already cleaned media and Vimeo still looks huge, a fresh install can clear leftover cache and temp files that are hard to reach by hand.

Your Vimeo library stays on your account. Offline videos are only on this phone.
Delete the app from your phone.
Restart your phone.
Install Vimeo again from the App Store or Google Play.
Sign in and restore from backup if the app offers it.

This often frees a lot of space. You may need to download some media again after restore.
