Free up Vinted storage
Vinted stores closet photos you uploaded, listing images you browsed, and photos people send in messages. Uploaded closet shots also live on Vinted. Message photos can sit on this phone. Treat chat media as files you may want to keep.
See how much space Vinted is using
iPhone
- Open the iPhone Settings app.
- Tap General > iPhone Storage.
- Tap Vinted.
Android
- Open your phone Settings > Apps (or Apps and notifications).
- Tap Vinted.
- Tap Storage or Storage and cache.
Closet listings stay on your account. Message photos and browse cache are the local pile.
Clear browse and listing cache
- Open Vinted and tap your profile.
- Open Settings.
- Tap Clear cache if Vinted shows it. Otherwise use Android Clear cache.
This drops thumbnails from search and favorites. Your closet listings stay online.
Messages and photos
- Open a conversation that has a lot of pictures.
- Save any buyer or seller photos you still need to Photos or Files.
- Then clear cache. Old chat images may need to load again from Vinted.
Photos you took for listings also sit in Camera Roll. Clearing Vinted does not delete those camera shots. Delete leftover listing drafts in Photos if they are filling the library.
Clear Vinted cache on Android
- Open your phone Settings > Apps > Vinted.
- Tap Storage or Storage and cache.
- Tap Clear cache.
Do not tap Clear storage / Clear data unless you mean to reset Vinted on this phone. That signs you out. Listings stay on the account. Local message photos can be lost if they were only cached here.
iPhone does not offer a separate Vinted cache button. Use the in-app steps on this page, or offload the app in iPhone Storage if the system total stays high.
Reinstall the app if storage is still high
If you already cleaned media and Vinted still looks huge, a fresh install can clear leftover cache and temp files that are hard to reach by hand.
- Closet items and orders stay on Vinted. Save message photos you need, because chat media on this phone may not all come back the same way after a reset.
- Delete the app from your phone.
- Restart your phone.
- Install Vinted again from the App Store or Google Play.
- Sign in and restore from backup if the app offers it.
This often frees a lot of space. You may need to download some media again after restore.
What to do next
After Vinted is lighter, check your photo library for duplicates and similar shots. That is what Dedupo is for.
