Free up Viu storage

Viu stores episodes you save for offline viewing, plus subtitle files and a watch cache. My List stays on your account. Removing a download only deletes the file on this phone.

See how much space Viu is using

iPhone

Open the iPhone Settings app.
Tap General > iPhone Storage.
Tap Viu.

Android

Open your phone Settings > Apps.
Tap Viu.
Tap Storage or Storage and cache.

Viu does not have a WhatsApp-style storage screen. Open Downloads to see titles on this phone.

Delete downloads

Open Viu and tap Downloads (sometimes under your profile or My List).
Tap a series or episode and remove the download.

Full series take the most space. The title stays in My List and can be downloaded again later.

Change download and subtitle settings

Open your profile and tap Settings.
Open Downloads or video quality.
Set a lower download quality, and turn off cellular downloads if that toggle is shown.

Subtitles are small next to video, but they stay with each downloaded episode until you remove the download.

Clear Viu cache on Android

Open your phone Settings > Apps > Viu.
Tap Storage or Storage and cache.
Tap Clear cache.

Do not tap Clear storage / Clear data unless you mean to reset Viu on this phone. That signs you out and removes local downloads. My List stays on your account.

iPhone does not offer a separate Viu cache button. Delete items under Downloads, or offload the app in iPhone Storage if the system total stays high.

Reinstall the app if storage is still high

If you already cleaned media and Viu still looks huge, a fresh install can clear leftover cache and temp files that are hard to reach by hand.

Downloads will need to be re-downloaded after you sign in. Your account keeps My List and watch history.
Delete the app from your phone.
Restart your phone.
Install Viu again from the App Store or Google Play.
Sign in and restore from backup if the app offers it.

This often frees a lot of space. You may need to download some media again after restore.
