Free up VLLO storage

VLLO keeps projects, imported clips, and export leftovers on this phone. Premium purchases can follow your store account. Projects do not. VLLO’s own FAQ says in-app data, including projects, does not sync automatically. There is no documented cache-only button.

See how much space VLLO is using

iPhone

  1. Open the iPhone Settings app.
  2. Tap General > iPhone Storage.
  3. Tap VLLO.

Android

  1. Open your phone Settings > Apps (or Apps and notifications).
  2. Tap VLLO.
  3. Tap Storage or Storage and cache.

Documents and Data is the project pile. The store download is small next to imported media.

Projects stay on this phone

VLLO FAQ: the app only links premium purchases. Projects are not synced to a VLLO cloud, and device transfer tools (Migration Assistant / Smart Switch) do not copy VLLO project data. Export keepers before you delete a project or the app.

Delete finished projects

  1. Open VLLO on the home / project list.
  2. Open a project you already exported to Photos or Gallery.
  3. Delete it from the project menu. If VLLO shows Recently deleted (or similar), empty that list so the media is actually gone.

Projects and export cache are local. Deleting the timeline after a good export is the main way to reclaim space.

Keep the original clip

VLLO FAQ: the editor reads files from Photos (iPhone) or Gallery (Android). If you delete the original from Photos, the project can show a black screen or “Original media not found.” Restore the clip from Recently Deleted, or use Replace after you move the file back.

Exports in Photos or Gallery

Finished videos usually land in Photos or Gallery as a second copy. After you confirm that export, delete the VLLO project. Then remove extra exports, including Recently Deleted / Trash.

Clear VLLO cache on Android

  1. Open your phone Settings > Apps > VLLO.
  2. Tap Storage or Storage and cache.
  3. Tap Clear cache.

Do not tap Clear storage / Clear data unless you mean to wipe VLLO. That deletes local projects. Premium can restore from the store account. Projects cannot.

iPhone does not offer a separate VLLO cache button. Delete finished projects, then offload the app in iPhone Storage if the system total stays high. Offload keeps documents, so project files can remain.

Reinstall the app if storage is still high

If you already cleaned media and VLLO still looks huge, a fresh install can clear leftover cache and temp files that are hard to reach by hand.

  1. Export finished videos to Photos first. VLLO FAQ says projects do not sync. A reinstall deletes local projects.
  2. Delete the app from your phone.
  3. Restart your phone.
  4. Install VLLO again from the App Store or Google Play.
  5. Sign in and restore from backup if the app offers it.

This often frees a lot of space. You may need to download some media again after restore.

What to do next

After VLLO is lighter, check your photo library for duplicates and similar shots. That is what Dedupo is for.
