Free up Yandex Go storage

Yandex Go caches map tiles, driver photos, and restaurant images as you book rides or food. Trip and order history stay on your Yandex account. The local pile is maps cache, not a ride archive.

iPhone

1. Open the iPhone Settings app.
2. Tap General > iPhone Storage.
3. Tap Yandex Go.

Android

1. Open your phone Settings > Apps (or Apps and notifications).
2. Tap Yandex Go.
3. Tap Storage or Storage and cache.

A city you travel in a lot is the usual reason the app looks large. Receipts stay on the account.

Maps and image cache

Yandex Go does not give a WhatsApp-style Free up Storage screen. Android Clear cache drops map tiles and photos the app kept for faster loading. Past rides and food orders stay in the account history.

Receipts you saved yourself

PDFs or screenshots you exported sit in Files, Downloads, or Photos. Delete those copies there if you still have them. Clearing Yandex Go cache does not remove Files.

Clear Yandex Go cache on Android

1. Open your phone Settings > Apps > Yandex Go.
2. Tap Storage or Storage and cache.
3. Tap Clear cache.

Do not tap Clear storage / Clear data unless you mean to reset Yandex Go on this phone. That signs you out. Trip and order history stay on the Yandex account.

iPhone does not offer a separate Yandex Go cache button. Use the in-app steps on this page, or offload the app in iPhone Storage if the system total stays high.

Reinstall the app if storage is still high

If you already cleaned media and Yandex Go still looks huge, a fresh install can clear leftover cache and temp files that are hard to reach by hand.

1. Trip history, orders, and payment methods stay on your Yandex account. Sign in again after reinstall.
2. Delete the app from your phone.
3. Restart your phone.
4. Install Yandex Go again from the App Store or Google Play.
5. Sign in and restore from backup if the app offers it.

This often frees a lot of space. You may need to download some media again after restore.
