Free up app storage

Free up Zomato storage

Zomato caches restaurant photos, menu shots, and dining reviews you opened. Orders and Gold stay on your Zomato account. Restaurant media is the local leftover.

See how much space Zomato is using

iPhone

  1. Open the iPhone Settings app.
  2. Tap General > iPhone Storage.
  3. Tap Zomato.

Android

  1. Open your phone Settings > Apps (or Apps and notifications).
  2. Tap Zomato.
  3. Tap Storage or Storage and cache.

Delivery plus dining photos is most of the size. Bookmarks stay on the account.

Restaurant photo cache

Scrolling nearby restaurants stores a lot of images. Android Clear cache removes them. Your order history stays on the account.

Chat files

Delivery partner chat can include photos. Save anything you need for a refund, then clear cache. Invoices stay on the account.

Clear Zomato cache on Android

  1. Open your phone Settings > Apps > Zomato.
  2. Tap Storage or Storage and cache.
  3. Tap Clear cache.

Do not tap Clear storage / Clear data unless you mean to reset Zomato on this phone. That signs you out. Orders stay on the account.

iPhone does not offer a separate Zomato cache button. Use the in-app steps on this page, or offload the app in iPhone Storage if the system total stays high.

Reinstall the app if storage is still high

If you already cleaned media and Zomato still looks huge, a fresh install can clear leftover cache and temp files that are hard to reach by hand.

  1. Orders, Gold, and payment methods stay on your Zomato account. Sign in again after reinstall.
  2. Delete the app from your phone.
  3. Restart your phone.
  4. Install Zomato again from the App Store or Google Play.
  5. Sign in and restore from backup if the app offers it.

This often frees a lot of space. You may need to download some media again after restore.

What to do next

After Zomato is lighter, check your photo library for duplicates and similar shots. That is what Dedupo is for.
